Fabric Shopping at CHSI Stitches!!

February is one of my favourite months as it means that I get to go fabric shopping! CHSI Stitches is a trade show jam-packed with fabric, wool and other gorgeous craft supplies held annually at the NEC in Birmingham. And last Sunday I got to go, armed with the hugest shopping list after my Facebook followers suggested what fabrics  they would like to see in the future from Lily & Giraffe.

I always like to start the day off having a good look round at what’s on offer, especially if there are new fabric suppliers there.  Stitches is where all the suppliers showcase the latest designs that will be available over the next year or so, so a lot of what is being shown hasn’t even been made yet!

I started off visiting my friends at ANBO who I already get a lot of my fabric from. They have some amazing designs coming soon from Robert Kaufman, Dashwood Studios and Blend Fabrics and needless to say, I ordered LOTS! Below is just a small sample but there will also be dinosaurs, superhero girls and some awesome unicorns.

I also got to order some of this year’s Christmas fabrics, including the pretty woodland and stag fabric pictured below by Dashwood Studio which has the most gorgeous metallic copper accents (and will be paired with the copper twist). I also ordered a pink Christmas cupcake fabric and super pretty pastel advent panels that were too gorgeous to leave behind!

You can also see the lovely woodland animal print I ordered from Dashwood Studio which is very similar to the white and navy woodland animal prints I have at the moment and that you guys love so much.

Unfortunately, a fair few of these fabrics haven’t even been made yet so there is going to be a wait until they do BUT the space fabrics and the unicorn/rainbows should be with me in the next 6 weeks or so (they are being shipped over from America).

What do you think, do you like them?
